Toreplacethepowersupplyassembly,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandthecomputer.Then,disconnect
allpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtothecomputer.
2.Placeasoft,cleantowelorclothonthedeskorsurface.Holdthesidesofyourcomputerandgentlylay
itdownsothatthescreenisagainstthesurfaceandthecoverisfacingup.
3.Removethecomputerstand.See“Removingandinstallingthecomputerstand”onpage73.
4.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage76.
5.Removethesystem-boardshield.See“Removingandinstallingthesystem-boardshield”onpage86.
6.RemovetherearI/Oassembly.See“ReplacingtherearI/Oassembly”onpage87.

8.Disconnectthepower-supply-assemblycablefromthesystemboard.
9.Removethetwoscrews1thatsecurethepowersupplyassembly,andthenliftthepowersupply
assemblytoremoveitfromthechassis.

10.Toinstallthenewpowersupplyassembly,positionthenewpowersupplyassemblyinthechassis
sothatthetwoscrewholesinthepowersupplyassemblyalignwiththecorrespondingholesinthe
chassis.Then,installthetwoscrewstosecurethenewpowersupplyassemblytothechassis.
