Cleaningyourcomputerdisplay
Tocleanthecomputerdisplay,dothefollowing:
1.Gentlywipethedisplaywithadry,soft,lint-freecloth.Ifyouseeascratchlikemarkonyourdisplay,it
mightbeastaintransferredfromthekeyboardwhenthecoverwaspressedfromtheoutside.
2.Wipeordustthestaingentlywithasoft,drycloth.
3.Ifthestainremains,moistenasoft,lint-freeclothwithwaterora50-50mixtureofisopropylalcoholand
waterthatdoesnotcontainimpurities.
Note:Avoidsprayingcleanerdirectlyontothekeyboard.
4.Wringoutasmuchoftheliquidasyoucan.
5.Wipethedisplayagain;donotletanyliquiddripintothecomputer.
6.Besuretodrythedisplaybeforeclosingit.
Computerstopsresponding
Printtheseinstructionsnowandkeepitwithyourcomputerforreferencelater.
Ifyourcomputeriscompletelyunresponsive(youcannotusethetouchpadorthekeyboard),dothefollowing:
1.Pressandholdthepowerbuttonuntilthecomputerturnsoff.Afterthecomputeristurnedoff,restart
thecomputerbypressingthepowerbutton.Ifthecomputerdoesnotturnon,continuewithstep2.
2.Whilethecomputerisoff,removetheacpoweradapterfromthecomputer.Holddownthepower
buttonfor10seconds.Connecttheacpoweradapter.Ifthecomputerdoesnotturnbackon,continue
withstep3.
3.Whilethecomputerisoff,removetheacpoweradapterfromthecomputer.Removeallexternaldevices
thatareattachedtoyourcomputer(keyboard,mouse,printer,scanner,andsoon).Repeatstep2.
Note:Ifthecomputerstartswithacpowerbutdoesnotstartwhenacpowerisdisconnected,callthe
CustomerSupportCenterforsupport.Gotohttp://www.lenovo.com/support/phoneforthelatestlistof
supportphonenumbersforyourcountryorregion.
Ifthecomputerstilldoesnotstartup,calltheCustomerSupportCenterandaCustomerSupportSpecialist
willassistyou.
Spillsonthekeyboard
Withamobilecomputer,thereareincreasedchancesofspillingliquidsonthekeyboard.Becausemost
liquidsconductelectricity,liquidspilledonthekeyboardcouldcreatenumerousshortcircuits,potentially
causingirreparabledamagetoyourcomputer.
Ifyouspillsomethingonyourcomputer:
Attention:Ensurethatnoliquidcreatesashortcircuitbetweenyouandtheacpoweradapter(ifinuse).
Althoughyoumightlosesomedataorworkbyturningoffthecomputerimmediately,leavingthecomputer
onmightmakeyourcomputerunusable.
1.Carefullydisconnecttheacpoweradapterimmediately.
2.Turnoffthecomputerimmediately.Themorequicklyyoustopthecurrentfrompassingthroughthe
computer,themorelikelyyouwillreducedamagefromshortcircuits.
