theSATAconnectors(e.g.harddiskdrivesortheoptical

diskdrive)aredisabledandcan’tbeaccessed.

OnboardAudioControllerSelectwhethertoenableordisabletheOnboardAudio

Controller,whenfeatureissettoDisabledalldevices

connectedtotheaudioconnectors(e.g.aheadphoneor

amicrophone)aredisabledandcan’tbeused.

OnboardEthernetControllerorOnboardPXE

Controller

SelectwhethertoenableordisableOnboardEthernet

Controller,orselectwhethertoenableordisableload

onboardPXE(PrebootExecutionEnvironment).

Toenableordisableadevice,dothefollowing:

1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram(see“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage13).

2.FromtheSetupUtilityprogrammenu,selectDevices.

3.Select:

USBSetuppresstheEnterkey,andthenselectUSBFunctions.

ATADrivesSetuppresstheEnterkey,andthenselectSATAMode.

AudioSetuppresstheEnterkey,andthenselectOnboardAudioController.

NetworkSetuppresstheEnterkey,thenselectOnboardEthernetSupportorLANBootAgent.

4.SelectDisabledorEnabledandpresstheEnterkey.

5.ReturntotheSetupUtilityprogrammenuandselecttheExitoption.

6.SelectSavechangesandExitfromthemenu.

Note:Ifyoudonotwanttosavethesettings,selectDiscardchangesandExitfromthemenu.

Selectingastartupdevice

Ifyourcomputerdoesnotstartup(boot)fromadevicesuchastheCD-ROM,diskette,orharddiskas

expected,useoneofthefollowingprocedurestoselectastartupdevice.

Selectingatemporarystartupdevice

Usethisproceduretostartupfromanybootdevice.
