UsingtheBluetoothconnection
Bluetoothcanconnectdevicesashortdistancefromoneanother,andiscommonlyusedforconnecting
peripheraldevicestoacomputer,transferringdatabetweenhand-helddevicesandapersonalcomputer,or
remotelycontrollingandcommunicatingwithdevicessuchasmobilephones.
Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermightsupporttheBluetoothfeature.Totransferdatathrough
theBluetoothfeature,dothefollowing:
1.EnsurethattheBluetoothfeatureisenabled.IfyouareusingtheWindows8.1operatingsystem,the
integratedBluetoothfeatureisenabledbydefault.IfyouareusingtheWindows7operatingsystem,to
enabletheBluetoothfeature,pressF8andthenfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
2.Right-clickthedatathatyouwanttosend.
3.SelectSendT o➙BluetoothDevices.
4.SelectaBluetoothdevice,andthenfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
Note:Ifyouusethewirelessfeature(the802.11standards)ofyourcomputersimultaneouslywitha
Bluetoothoption,thedatatransmissionspeedcanbedelayedandtheperformanceofthewirelessfeature
canbedegraded.
Formoreinformation,refertotheWindowshelpinformationsystemandtheBluetoothhelpinformation
system.
Presentationsandmultimedia
Youcanconnectyourcomputertoaprojectortogivepresentationsoryoucanconnectyourcomputer
toanexternalmonitortoexpandyourworkspace.
Changingdisplaysettings
Youcanchangethedisplaysettings,suchasthedisplayresolution,fontsize,andsoon.
Tochangethedisplaysettings,dothefollowing:
1.GotoControlPanelandclickAppearanceandPersonalization.
2.ClickDisplayforfurtherconfiguration.
3.ClickApply.Thechangewilltakeeffectafteryoulogoff.
Usinganexternalmonitor
Note:Whenyouconnectanexternalmonitor,avideointerfacecablewithaferritecoreisrequired.
Yourcomputercansupportamaximumvideoresolutionofupto2560x1600(withanexternalmonitor
connectedtotheHDMIconnector),providedthattheexternalmonitoralsosupportsthatresolution.For
moreinformationabouttheexternalmonitor,refertothemanualsprovidedwiththeexternalmonitor.
Youcansetanyresolutionforeitherthecomputerdisplayortheexternalmonitor.Whenyouusebothatthe
sametime,theresolutionofbothisthesame.Ifyousetahigherresolutionforthecomputerdisplay,youcan
seeonlypartofthescreenatatime.Youcanseeotherpartsbymovingtheimagewiththepointingdevice.
